Donate food

Our Foodbank could not operate without the continued fantastic support and generosity that we receive from our local community. That support manifests itself in so many ways and particularly from Food and Cash Donations and we are extremely grateful for that support.

Almost all the food we distribute is donated by our community at the respective collection points in local supermarkets and from deliveries directly to our foodbank depots in Ruthin and Denbigh, from a variety of sources, including local churches, community groups, doctor’s surgeries, schools, businesses and workplaces and from individual donations.

The collection boxes at TESCO are intended only for food that has been purchased by in-store shoppers only. Should you wish to donate items not purchased in the store in these boxes we ask that the donations be sealed and labelled as having been purchased elsewhere.

In addition food donations can also be made at the following locations including:

Denbigh -
Co-op
Lidl
Morrisons

Ruthin -
Co-op

Thank you again for your continued vital support.

Over 90% of the food distributed by foodbanks in The Trussell Trust network is donated by the public – that’s why your food donations are absolutely vital to our ability to give everyone referred to us a balanced and nutritious three day supply of food.

Our shopping list on the right shows the food items that we need right now.

If you are happy to drop off food donations, please see the table below for our food collection point locations.

We always welcome donations and promise to use them to provide help to people in crisis. Occasionally we send food to other nearby foodbanks to support their work particularly if they experience shortages. This ensures your donations go to help people wherever in the UK they are.

Please contact us if you have any questions about donating food.
